Based in San Antonio, Texas.

“It’s not what you look at that matters, it’s what you see.” – Henry David Thoreau
That quote has become the basis of what my photography is all about.
Growing up I was always interested in looking through books that were full of colorful images. I never cared to read the text that went along with them. I just wanted to gaze at the images.  I was especially drawn to photos of nature/ landscape and wildlife.  I marveled at the images in the National Geographic Magazines, pondering how the photographer captured the image and how it must have felt like to put his or her life on the line to capture the image. I began to dream of one day having an image of my own published in a National Geographic Magazine issue; to this day it is very much still a dream of mine.
The Arts have been rooted in my life through my family’s diverse interests, starting with my mom’s origins in playing the piano and filling our home with classical music. My brothers and I were encouraged to start playing classical instruments during an after school program in the 5th grade. I find that non-verbal expression through arts to be a way I can better relate to others. My personal journey started with the violin but now my voice is found through my lens. I have laid down my violin to focus on developing myself as a photographer.  Since receiving my first camera, a little Nikon Point and shoot, in 2008, as a gift from my mother, I have been seeking to grow and learn as much as I can on my own: with rows of books on my bookshelves. Ansel Adams was the initial inspiration that motivated me to capture nature and nature in its own continues to inspire me.
Being born with Spina Bifida, I have to use a wheelchair everyday.  For my photography it has been a blessing because I can easily sit in one spot and be observant to all the beauty that is around me, whether it be animals, plants, people and so on.  Wherever I want to go, my wheelchair goes.
My photography has been an amazing spiritual journey for me.  I hope as you view these images you feel a sense of spirituality and are able to see the beauty I see within them.
